Health cards for GHMC employees
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has decided to issue health cards to its employees within a month. The agency has finalized a tender on the issue of health cards.
Hyderabad: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has decided to issue health cards to its employees within a month. The agency has finalized a tender on the issue of health cards. GHMC Commissioner M Dana Kishore has announced that nearly 5,000 permanent employees would be provided health care cards worth Rs 3 lakh per annum to their five family members.
The members of the National SC Commission held a special meeting with Commissioner Dana Kishore and leaders of the SC trade unions at the GHMC on Tuesday on the different issues faced by SC employees.
Scheduled Caste employees and National SC Commission members have been demanding that they be issued health cards, given promotions, allotment of GHMC canteen to the SC trade unions.
In response to their demands, the Commissioner said that the health cards would be issued to GHMC employees within a month. The Commissioner said the city's Mayor Bonthu Rammohan would discuss the government-issued directives on the installation of the statues of BR Ambedkar and Babu Jagjivan Ram at the GHMC office.
The birth anniversaries of Dr B R Ambedkar and Babu Jagjivan Ram have been organised in every office displaying their portraits in the chambers of officials, said the Commissioner.
