KTR’s gesture to medical student

Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao has stepped in to support Kondeti Akira, a native of Wardhannapet in Warangal district, who was facing severe financial difficulties in pursuing her medical education. Demonstrating his support, he provided financial assistance of Rs 2 lakh to help her continue her MBBS studies.

Akira is the daughter of Kondeti Bhaskar and Anita from Wardhannapet town. After completing her 10th grade at the Social Welfare School in Thorrur and Intermediate education at Ambedkar College in Khammam, she secured an All-India rank of 2,99,946 and an SC category rank of 27,865 in the national medical entrance exam, securing admission for the MBBS course at Maheshwara Medical College in Patancheru.

Journalist Bollepaka Rajesh brought Akira’s financial struggles regarding her medical education to KT Rama Rao’s attention via X. Responding promptly, KT Rama Rao promised financial assistance and handed over Rs 2 lakh to Akira at Telangana Bhavan on Monday. He stated that he would stand by impoverished students facing obstacles in higher education, expressing hope that Akira would become a doctor and assuring continued support until she completes her degree. Akira stated the aid gave her confidence to pursue her medical education, while her family expressed deep gratitude to KT Rama Rao for his timely support.
