Nizam College principal Prof Lakshmi Kanth Rathor, who is also a professor in the Department of Physical Education, Osmania University, was presented with the Bharat Ratna Mother Theresa Gold Medal in Chennai on Saturday.

He received the medal from former Union Minister C K Venkatapathi and ex-Vice-chancellor of Anna University Dr A Kalanidhi. Speaking to the media on Sunday, Prof Rathor said that he had been presented with the gold medal for his work in teaching, research and administration as Professor and Principal of the Nizam College
