Municipal Corporation Mayor Jakka Venkat Reddy has said that sanitation staff are the foundation for municipality set-up. He met sanitation staff in working hours on Monday, he asked them about their problems.

He met sanitation staff in working hours on Monday, he asked them about their problems. The staff said that they are being prone to accidents while working on word during night. They sought radium jackets, masks and gloves. They said they had been falling ill because of dust.
"We get treatment at ESI Hospital only and that too with the permission of Commissioner," they said, requesting easy access to treatment. Responding positively to their pleas, Venkat Reddy said he would come up with a plan to find permanent solution to all their problems. He also said that he would ensure they are provided with breakfast regularly and get salaries on time.
