Revanth Reddy fast-tracks MKLI Phase-2 works

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has instructed officials to invite tenders for Phase-2 works of the Makthal-Narayanpet-Kodangal Lift Irrigation Project (MKLI).

At a review meeting in Kodangal, the Chief Minister directed officials to provide comprehensive details on the annual budget required to accelerate the project works. Irrigation officials briefed him on measures being taken to complete Phase-1 works by December 2027 and Phase-2 works by October 2028.

During an inspection of works at the Hakimpet Education Hub, Revanth Reddy reviewed the progress of the Young India Integrated Residential School, government medical and nursing colleges, physiotherapy and paramedical sciences facilities, a 430-bed hospital and other structures. He directed officials to ensure coordination among all construction activities at the hub and ordered continuous monitoring of construction quality and technical aspects.

The Chief Minister suggested setting up water-harvesting wells to prevent water stagnation during rains and formulating plans to conserve rainwater and use it for landscaping.

Officials also briefed him on the progress of Roads and Buildings (R&B) works in the Kodangal Assembly constituency. Revanth Reddy directed them to expedite road connectivity, building construction, bridges and other infrastructure projects.
