Rich tributes paid to former CM Dr Marri Chenna Reddy
Leaders of various political parties paid tributes to the former Chief Minister Dr Marri Chenna Reddy at his memorial at Indira Park Rock Garden on Monday.

Himachal Pradesh Governor Bandaru Dattatreya, MLC Ramachandra Rao, former Rajya Sabha member V Hanumantha Rao, former Home Minister Naini Narsimha Reddy, former Union Minister Sarve Satyanarayana, former MPs Konda Vishweshwar Reddy, Anjan Kumar Yadav, Congress leaders Kodanda Reddy, Jana Reddy, former PCC president Ponnala Lakshmaiah, Marri Shashidhar Reddy and his family members were among those who paid tributes.
Speaking on the occasion, leaders recalled the contributions of Dr Chenna Reddy to Telangana. They praised his efforts in building Sriram Sagar project. Recalling his role in the first phase of Telangana movement, they said that even the then Prime minister Indira Gandhi had recognized his efforts and made him CM of the state.
Although his dream of Telangana has been achieved, there is need for fulfilling his dream of social Telangana, they averred. Most of the leaders who spoke on the occasion recalled their memories with the departed leader. Commemorating the death anniversary, free health camp and blood donation camp were organised.
