SC/ST boys hostel inaugurated
Labour and Employment Minister Ch Malla Reddy along with Uppal MLA Bethi Subhash Reddy inaugurated SC and ST Boys Hostel at JN Government Polytechnic College in Ramanthapur on Sunday.

Later, he laid the foundation stone for another hostel costing Rs 2 Crore. He said the college was inaugurated by former Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. "The college has produced many intelligentsias who have secured higher positions in their careers in India and overseas. There's a need for introducing new courses like computer mining," he added.
Bethi Subhash Reddy said the hostel could accommodate 90 students and the one to be constructed would accommodate 70 students. "The required infrastructure will be provided soon. We will put a proposal to government to demolish the buildings that are in dilapidated condition and reconstruct them," he added. MLC Janardhan Reddy, corporator Bethi Swapna, college staff and students were present on the occasion.
