Mettuguda: The traffic signal system which gives direction to the commuters goes dysfunctional at Mettuguda cross road. As a result of no signals, the traffic is going haywire with commuters opting to go their own way. Besides the commotion and chaos, it is also leading to accidents and collisions. The traffic signal has not been working for the past seven days, says Akash Kaleru, a commuter and resident of Keshav Rao Nagar Colony, Mettuguda.
Also, the streetlights on the stretch from Chilkalguda X Road to Mettuguda are also reported dysfunctional for the past three months. Commuters and the residents of Mettuguda request GHMC officials to attend the issue as soon as possible. The road turning after CAT Cemetery near Mettuguda station dims every night as there is no street light working on the stretch.
