Water ATMs seen not serving their purpose
GHMC and HMSSWB have installed water ATMs in lal Bazar for the people to have access to fresh drinking water, but they failed to maintain them. From the past few years, they have not been maintained by the GHMC authorities.

Most of the pedestrians are facing problems with the water machines in the area. People used to fill and drink fresh water from the water ATMs earlier, but now only empty machines are left. It is peak summer and people are unable to have access to water once promised to them.
It was said that water ATMs will be working 24/7 and provide drinking water supply for the public, but it is not the case. "We used to enjoy fresh drinking water from these ATMs for Rs 5, but lately these ATMs are running dry and not serving the purpose," said Narendra Kumar, a local.
Vaibhav Agarwal, a student who uses the bus stop daily, said, "The water plant is available, but is not serving the purpose. In the beginning, it was all well. I hope GHMC fixes the ATM before the end of the summer season."
The water ATMs at Paradise and Tad bund are also face the same plight. It worked in the initial stage, but now all of them are dry. "GHMC did launch good service for the citizens, but failed to maintain the consistency" said a resident.
