Karimnagar’s Rudra Santosh Kumar gets key role in Congress national campaign
Karimnagar: Rudra Santosh Kumar, who coordinated the Congress party’s caste census programme in Telangana through a war room, call centre and digital monitoring systems, has been appointed War Room Coordinator for the party’s proposed 100-day nationwide campaign on caste census, party sources said.
The All India Congress Committee (AICC) has issued the appointment order, according to the sources. The campaign will include public awareness programmes, State-wise action plans, training, organisational coordination, digital monitoring and weekly progress reports over 15 weeks.
During the 2024–25 caste census exercise in Telangana, Santosh Kumar supervised the war room and call centre at Indira Bhavan under TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud’s leadership. The system coordinated with more than 2,000 workers and representatives daily, along with over 100 caste associations and nearly 35,000 booth-level workers.
At an AICC OBC workshop in Delhi on September 8, he presented the proposed 15-week action plan, including State-level war rooms, training, grassroots mobilisation and digital monitoring.
A native of Achampalli village in Karimnagar district, Santosh Kumar entered public life in 2016 and later joined the Congress.
He has also worked with the Leadership Development Mission and participated in the Bharat Jodo Yatra.
