Kothagudem/Yellandu: BRS Parliamentary Party leader and Rajya Sabha MP Vaddiraju Ravichandra criticised the Congress government in Telangana, alleging that governance had suffered as Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and his ministers were frequently visiting Delhi.

Ravichandra was speaking at a ‘Vantavarpu’ (community cooking) programme organised by former MLA ‘s Vanama Venkateswarlu Haripriya Naik here in coal towns Kothagudem and Yellandu on Friday to highlight what the BRS described as the Congress government’s failures during its 1,000 days in office. The BRS leader alleged that the Congress government was not addressing issues effectively and was approaching the Centre even on matters concerning the state.

He claimed that the Congress had made several promises, including six guarantees, before the Assembly elections and had assured their implementation within 100 days of coming to power, but had failed to fulfil them.

Ravichandra also criticised the government over the removal of former minister Konda Surekha from the Cabinet and alleged that the Chief Minister had not adequately responded to questions raised by her and her family members.

Claiming that people from different sections were facing hardships under the present government, he said the previous BRS regime under K Chandrasekhar Rao had provided better governance.

Ravichandra expressed confidence that the BRS would return to power in the next Assembly elections and that KCR would become Chief Minister again.

Former MLA s of the party and several BRS leaders and workers participated in the programme and raised slogans criticising the Congress government.
