Harvest School celebrates Teacher’s Day, Janmashtami

Khammam: “Teachers play a crucial role in shaping students and guiding them towards becoming responsible citizens,” Harvest Public School Correspondent P Ravimaruth said on Friday. He was speaking at Teachers’ Day and Sri Krishna Janmashtami celebrations at Harvest Public School here on Friday.

Ravimaruth said teachers not only impart academic knowledge but also help inculcate values, discipline, humanity, and a sense of responsibility among students. Respecting teachers, he said, was a way of recognising the importance of education and the future of society.

Principal R Parvathi Reddy said teachers provide a strong foundation for students’ future and have the responsibility of identifying their individual talents and encouraging them to move forward with confidence.

The celebrations, organised as part of the school’s 25th anniversary year, included sports, cultural programmes, dance performances, drama and tambola for teachers.

Teachers and staff from Harvest Spring Leaf, Harvest Tender Roots and Cedar Valley International School also participated in the programme.

The celebrations also featured Sri Krishna Janmashtami-related activities. School management said it was giving equal importance to academic, cultural and sporting activities for the overall development of students.
