Wanaparthy: “Comprehensive land re-survey work must be conducted rigorously,” said Additional Collector (revenue) T Vinod Kumar on Sunday while directing the re-survey operations in the district be conducted transparently, in strict accordance with regulations and without any scope for errors or lapses.
He conducted a surprise field inspection of the re-survey work in Chennuru village, Gopalpeta mandal, examined the progress of the survey process and the records, offering instructions to officials.
Kumar interacted with local farmers and landowners. He inquired about the crops being cultivated, the expected harvest times, and other cultivation details. He advised officials to coordinate the re-survey process effectively to ensure farmers face no inconvenience.
The AC instructed officials to maintain the co-relation register—a crucial component of the re-survey process—meticulously and without any errors. Farmers and landowners should be informed about the survey details in advance through formal notices.
He stated that gram sabhas should be conducted in every village to create full public awareness regarding the objectives, significance and procedure of the re-survey. He instructed officials to paint the survey stones, ensuring clarity in identifying boundaries and survey markers.
The AC stated that the re-survey operations have commenced in 12 of the 15 mandals. The process would begin in the remaining mandals of Revalli, Atmakur and Chinnambavi within two-three days. The target is to conduct the re-survey in 70 villages in the first phase. The re-survey process has been completed in Burdipadu village of Pebbair mandal.
