Grand TTD temple to come up in Khammam
Khammam: Elaborate arrangements are underway for the foundation stone-laying ceremony of Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple, to be constructed under the auspices of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), near the Greenfield Highway in the Allipuram-Kothagudem area of Khammam city.
The foundation ceremony will be performed by Sri Tridandi Chinna Jeeyar Swamy on October 12 at 11 am. With the support of the Telangana government and the initiative of Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao, a master plan has been prepared for constructing the temple across 22 acres at an estimated cost of Rs 100 crore.
Tummala’s son, Yugandhar, and senior District Congress leader Tupakula Yella Gonda Swamy closely monitored the arrangements on Friday. Organisers expect between 50,000 and one lakh devotees from across Khammam district to attend the ceremony.
