Ramaswamy Gutta housing colony nears completion
Huzurnagar/Hyderabad: The Ramaswamy Gutta housing colony in Huzurnagar constituency of Suryapet district is nearing completion. Irrigation and Civil Supplies Minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy has directed officials to develop the colony into a model residential township equipped with essential civic infrastructure and community facilities to improve the quality of life of economically weaker families.
The Minister reviewed the colony’s preparedness for occupation on Friday along with Housing Secretary VP Gowtham, Suryapet District Collector Tejas Nandlal Pawar and other senior officials. He instructed the departments concerned to complete all remaining works and ensure that drinking water, electricity, internal roads, drainage, sewerage and sanitation facilities were fully operational before beneficiaries moved into their houses. “The government is targeting October 20, coinciding with Dasara, for distributing beneficiary allotment letters at the housing colony.” He said. Uttam stressed that a key feature of the proposed township will be dedicated common study rooms for children from beneficiary families, offering them a quiet and conducive environment for reading and preparing for examinations.
The Minister said coordinated efforts were necessary to ensure that these facilities met residents’ everyday needs and supported children’s education, health and overall development.
