Nellore: Police arrested 30-year-old church sweeper Jashuva on Sunday for allegedly sexually attacking a 13-year-old mentally disabled girl at a church in Vedayapalem, Nellore city.
The incident occurred while the victim’s parents were cleaning the upper floor.
The mother discovered the attack and raised an alarm, drawing locals to the scene.
The accused suffered severe injuries when a compound wall collapsed during an escape attempt. Locals handed him over to the police, who shifted him to GGH and registered a case under the POCSO Act.
