Tirupati: Municipal Corporation Commissioner M Jayakrishna has directed Town Planning officials to take strict action against building constructions being carried out in violation of town planning rules within the Municipal Corporation limits.
The Commissioner inspected building construction works at several locations in the city along with Town Planning officials on Sunday. He instructed the officials to regularly inspect ongoing construction works across the city along with their staff. The Commissioner directed the officials to check whether the constructions have obtained the required permissions from the Town Planning Department and whether the works are being carried out as per the approved plans and regulations.
He ordered immediate strict action against those undertaking construction without permission or violating the prescribed rules. He also warned that departmental action would be taken against the concerned officials and staff if any unauthorised or rule-violating construction comes to his notice. Incharge DCP Murthy, TPVO Vamsi, Town Planning secretaries and other officials accompanied the Commissioner during the inspection.
