Students perform puja ahead of SSC exams

Seeking the blessings of Saraswati, the Goddess of knowledge and learning, tenth class students of Irugulam and Madanapalem ZP High Schools, who will face the public exams from March 18 onwards, performed puja with great fervour and zeal on Wednesday. Students offered prayers to the deity by chanting slokas. More than 70 students took part in it.
Tirupati: Seeking the blessings of Saraswati, the Goddess of knowledge and learning, tenth class students of Irugulam and Madanapalem ZP High Schools, who will face the public exams from March 18 onwards, performed puja with great fervour and zeal on Wednesday. Students offered prayers to the deity by chanting slokas. More than 70 students took part in it.
After the pooja, officials of Sri City Foundation, presented each student, a writing pad, a geometry box, pens and pencils. Two months back, Sri City Foundation distributed study material to the students. Thanking Sri City, all the students said that the study material distributed to them gave confidence to face exams. Teachers of both schools were present during the ceremony.
