Tirupati: District Superintendent of Police L Subba Rayudu and TTD Chief Vigilance and Security Officer KV Murali Krishna jointly inspected security arrangements for Srivari Garuda Seva scheduled for Friday as part of the Navaratri Brahmotsavams at Tirumala.
The officials inspected the four Mada Streets, devotee galleries, outer ring roads, parking areas, and entry and exit points. They reviewed measures to control the movement of devotees, ensure continuous surveillance, and prevent any untoward incidents. They also issued instructions to security personnel on the spot to strengthen arrangements wherever necessary.
Later, the officials held a coordination meeting with police and TTD personnel to review security arrangements for the event. They directed officials to ensure strong barricading along the Mada Streets and continuously monitor crowd movement at galleries, entry points, and major junctions.
Special attention was given to Rambagicha, Lepakshi and Sarangi junctions, as well as the inner and outer ring roads. Officials were instructed to coordinate with one another and regulate the movement of devotees according to crowd levels.
They were also asked to coordinate when galleries become full and implement traffic diversions wherever required to ensure that devotees can safely witness the Garuda Vahana Seva.
The officials directed the Integrated Command and Control Centre to ensure coordination among the police, vigilance, fire services, ambulance services, sanitation and Annaprasadam departments to resolve any issues quickly.
Police and TTD vigilance teams have made coordinated security arrangements to ensure that devotees can have a safe and peaceful darshan during Garuda Seva.
District police appealed to devotees to remain calm, follow the instructions of police personnel and move in an orderly manner.
They urged devotees to avoid pushing and cooperate with the authorities to ensure the safety and convenience of everyone attending the event.
