Allocated staff join NTR ZP

Vijayawada: Withthe newly constituted Zilla Parishads commencing their functioning from September 25, the staff allocated to the NTR Zilla Parishad headquarters reported for duty before Deputy Chief Executive Officer (DyCEO) Kodali Anuradha at the temporary ZP office in Vijayawada on Monday.

The NTR Zilla Parishad office has been temporarily accommodated in the ZP Guest House adjacent to the Joint Collector’s office in the city.

The ground floor has been earmarked for the Special Officer or ZP chairperson, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and DyCEO, while the first floor is being arranged for various sections of the Zilla Parishad.

The erstwhile Krishna district had 49 mandals, which have now been divided among the Krishna, NTR and Eluru Zilla Parishads. Krishna ZP has 25 mandals, NTR ZP 16, and the remaining eight mandals have been allocated to Eluru ZP. As per the orders of the Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Department, the distribution of staff was broadly made in the ratio of 50% for Krishna, 34% for NTR and 16% for Eluru. Accordingly, 104 posts in the erstwhile Krishna ZP have been provisionally distributed among the three newly constituted Zilla Parishads. Of these, 54 posts were allocated to Krishna ZP, 34 to NTR ZP and 16 to Eluru ZP. Of the eight Administrative Officer posts, four were allotted to Krishna, three to NTR and one to Eluru. Similarly, of the 18 Senior Assistant posts, nine were allocated to Krishna, six to NTR and three to Eluru. Of the 40 Junior Assistant posts, 20 were allotted to Krishna, 13 to NTR and seven to Eluru.

Of the 20 subordinate posts, 10 were allocated to Krishna, seven to NTR and three to Eluru. Typists, Record Assistants, drivers and other categories of staff were also distributed among the three Zilla Parishads.
