Anarchy prevails in Andhra Pradesh under YSRCP rule, alleges MP Nani
- Kesineni Srinivas on Thursday strongly condemned the arrest of representatives of Muslim organisations, who called for the ‘Chalo Assembly’
- They were protesting against the inaction of the YSRCP government in doing justice in the case of the death of Abdul Salam and his family in Kurnool district
Vijayawada: Vijayawada MP Kesineni Srinivas (Nani) alleged that anarchy has been prevailing in the State since the YSRCP came to power and attacks on the Dalits, backward classes, minorities and weaker sections have increasing in the State.
He charged the State police with bias and discharging their duties in the favour of the ruling YSRCP.
Kesineni Srinivas on Thursday strongly condemned the arrest of the representatives of Muslim organisations, who called for the 'Chalo Assembly' protesting against the inaction of the YSRCP government in doing justice in the case of the death of Abdul Salam and his family in Kurnool district. The Muslim organisations in Vijayawada and other parts of the State are staging protests against inaction of the State government to punish the two police officials who were responsible for the suicide of the family of Abdul Salam.
In a ghastly incident, the family of Salam jumped before the running goods train and ended their lives near Nandyal of Kurnool district due to unbearable police harassment in connection of a theft case. The MP alleged the police are suppressing the voice of the people and been implicating the people in the cases for raising their voice against the police and YSRCP rule.
He warned the TDP would not tolerate injustice against the minorities, weaker sections and Dalits and would oppose the suppressive policies. He recalled many farmers were arrested and harassed in Amaravati for opposing the idea of three capitals. He suggested the police to maintain law and order in the State and added that the governments would come and go but the police should not be biased to one political party.
Scores of police personnel were posted near the office of the MP since Thursday morning and arrested the Muslims, who called for the Chalo Assembly on Thursday demanding punishment to the guilty in Salam suicide case.
