AP Government reshuffles Zilla Parishad CEOs, deputy CEOs

Officers posted to newly reconstituted ZPPs in 28 districts to strengthen rural administration

Vijayawada: The State government has issued orders transferring and posting Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) and Deputy Chief Executive Officers (Deputy CEOs) to various Zilla Praja Parishads (ZPPs) following their reconstitution in line with the State’s 28-district administrative structure.
Following the reorganisation of districts from 13 to 28, the government has initiated administrative changes to align Zilla Parishad machinery with the new district structure. The appointments are expected to strengthen rural administration and facilitate the smooth functioning of the reconstituted ZPPs ahead of local body elections.
Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Special Chief Secretary to Government (FAC) Kantilal Dande issued GO Rt No 973. The government relaxed the existing ban on transfers to facilitate the appointments and ensure the smooth functioning of the reconstituted Zilla Parishads.
Under the orders, P Kiran Kumar, Project Director, DRDA, Srikakulam, has been posted as CEO of Vizianagaram ZPP, while K Kishore Kumar, Assistant Project Officer (Monitoring and Evaluation), DWMA, East Godavari, has been appointed CEO of Polavaram ZPP.
D Satyanarayana has been posted as CEO of Anakapalli ZPP, G Ramana as CEO of West Godavari ZPP and M Krishna Mohan as CEO of Eluru ZPP.
P Suseela, Executive Director of State Fibernet Limited, has been posted as CEO of NTR ZPP. G Joseph Kumar has been appointed CEO of Markapuram ZPP, S Madhusudhan as CEO of SPSR Nellore ZPP, Shobhan Babu as CEO of Tirupati ZPP and P Urmila Devi as CEO of Nandyala ZPP.
The orders also include CEO appointments in other newly reconstituted ZPPs. B Sudhakar Rao has been posted as CEO of Parvathipuram Manyam ZPP, Ch Vijayalakshmi as CEO of Bapatla ZPP, Ch Durga Prasad as CEO of Palnadu ZPP, G Venkata Subbaiah as CEO of Sri Sathya Sai ZPP and P Vasudeva Rao as CEO of Alluri Sitharama Raju ZPP.
Among Deputy CEO postings, Y Samatha has been appointed to Anantapur ZPP, K Raj Kumar to Anakapalli ZPP and E Sandeep to Visakhapatnam ZPP. KL Prabhakar Rao has been posted as Deputy CEO of Annamayya ZPP.
In another administrative change, M Nageswara Rao, Project Director, MEPMA, Tirupati, has been posted as Project Director, DRDA, Tirupati, after being withdrawn from the Municipal Administration and Urban Development Department.
Meanwhile, district authorities are preparing to finalise reservations for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Backward Classes and women in accordance with the State government’s directions.
The exercise will be taken up after the government issues gazette notification on reservations, following which officials of the respective districts will work out the reservation details for the local bodies.
