Vijayawada: Fifty-three skilled youth from Andhra Pradesh have secured overseas employment opportunities, with 44 nurses selected for jobs in Germany and nine drivers chosen for employment in Dubai, UAE. The selected professionals will receive monthly remuneration of around Rs 3 lakh to Rs 4 lakh.

The Overseas Manpower Company Andhra Pradesh Limited (OMCAP) organised a felicitation programme on Friday to honour the selected candidates and recognise the support extended by the State Government, OMCAP, APSSDC, APNRT and partner organisation 2COMS.

Under Project Vasudha, nursing candidates were provided free German language and employment-oriented training to prepare them for careers in Germany. Visa processing and internationaltravel support were also provided free of cost, helping reduce the financial burden on candidates, particularly those from economically disadvantaged families.

APNRT president Dr Ravi Kumar Vemuru congratulated the selected candidates and assured them of support after their arrival in their respective countries. He said APNRT coordinators in several countries would assist Indians working abroad and advised the candidates to register with APNRT. He urged them to prioritise safety, follow local laws and maintain professional discipline.

The dignitaries congratulated all 53 selected professionals and wished them success in their overseas careers.
