Markapur: District Superintendent of Police V Harshavardhan Raju held a special public grievance redressal system programme at the Pamuru circle office on Monday and received 41 complaints from residents of Pamuru town and surrounding areas. Speaking at the programme, he told the complainants that their grievances would be resolved through legal procedures.
He directed the concerned police station officers to give special attention to all complaints received under the PGRS programme and to conduct inquiries quickly. He further ordered officers to submit action-taken reports on each complaint.
The complaints received at the programme related to family disputes, cheating cases, harassment by husband and in-laws, land and property disputes and other issues.
Women and elderly residents from Pamuru and nearby areas used the programme in large numbers. Meanwhile, 36 complaints were received at a separate PGRS programme held at the Markapur district police office, conducted by Yerragondapalem CI Ajay Kumar and staff under the orders of the SP. Kanigiri in-charge DSP P Sridhar, Pamuru CI Rajesh Kumar, Kanigiri CI Srinivasa Rao and Sub-Inspector Yasmin also took part in the programme.
