Training session held on ‘Speed Maths’
Vijayawada: A special training session on Speed Maths was organised at the Tagore Library on Mahatma Gandhi Road here on Sunday as part of the “Reading is Our Favourite” programme.
The session was conducted by Chalasani Sambasiva Rao, who explained various techniques of Speed Maths to students. He said regular practice of Speed Maths would help children improve not only their calculation skills but also their speed of thinking, concentration, memory and problem-solving abilities.
He said the techniques would also enable students to solve mathematical problems more easily and quickly in competitive examinations.
The Speed Maths class will be conducted every Sunday at the library to provide students with continuous practice and guidance. Grade I Librarian K Ramadevi and students from various schools participated in the programme.
