Visakhapatnam: Four employees sustained injuries as hot metal fell on the ground while they were at work in close proximity at Steel Melting Shop-II in Visakhapatnam Steel Plant on Friday.
The injured were shifted to the hospital at the plant and their condition is said to be out of danger. According to sources, the incident happened when the ladle hooks came off and the liquid steel spilled over the ground.
A large quantity of hot metal spilled on the ground and is said to be the reason for causing burns among the workers working close-by.
However, the fire extinguishers reached the incident spot and brought the situation under control. Luckily, no casualty was reported.
