Visakhapatnam: An interactive 'Meet and Greet' programme was held at Hindustan Shipyard Limited (HSL) with registered manufacturers, vendors and contractors.
Participating in the programme, Chairman and Managing Director of HSL Cmde Hemant Khatri said the primary objective of the event was to inculcate the esprit-de-corps and strengthen business relationship with the business stakeholders.
The CMD of the HSL highlighted the necessity to improve quality, delivery schedule and optimisation of the cost for products, material and services.
Assistant Director (MSME) GVR Naidu, General Manager of District Industry Centre Ramaligeswara Raju and business facilitator for AP government e-Marketplace Jayavadivel Raja offered suggestions on development of local industry, opportunities to MSE vendors and necessity for registration of vendors in GeM portal. More than 100 vendors participated in the meet held on Friday. A detailed presentation was made covering various issues such as long-term business opportunities in HSL, real time collaboration, ease of doing business with HSL.
