Ganesh festivities to be held peacefully

Rajanna Sircilla: Vemulawada DySP Srinivasulu has appealed to Ganesh festival organisers to conduct celebrations peacefully and with devotion while strictly following safety guidelines issued by the police, electricity and fire departments.

A meeting with Ganesh pandal organisers and festival committee members was held by Vemulawada rural police at Mahadev Function Hall. The DSP urged organisers to take precautions from idol installation to immersion, register pandals through the police online portal and install CCTV cameras.

He instructed organisers to obtain required permissions for electricity connections and ensure pandals do not obstruct traffic or emergency services.

DJs will not be permitted, while sound systems must follow prescribed timings. Alcohol consumption, gambling, provocative speeches and objectionable programmes will not be tolerated, he warned. Officials also stressed electrical and fire safety measures.
