Inagala Venkatram Reddy hails victory as a reflection of workers’ trust in Congress government
The Congress-affiliated INTUC-Telangana RTC Workers Union (TWU) alliance has secured a significant victory in the TGSRTC recognition union elections, winning six of the 10 regions in the combined Warangal district.
Hanumakonda DCC president Inagala Venkatram Reddy congratulated the victorious union leaders and workers when they met him at his residence on Sunday and felicitated him with a shawl. He said the victory, achieved in elections held after nearly a decade, reflected workers’ confidence in the Congress government.
He expressed hope that the new union leadership would strengthen the RTC, address pending employee grievances and prioritise workers’ welfare and rights.
The elections were held on October 9 through a ballot system, recording around 98 per cent polling across Telangana.
INTUC leaders Jitender Reddy, Pasha, Ramesh, Venu Madhav, Venu Gopal, Mohan, Kura Venkat and DCC media committee chairman Mark Vijay Kumar attended the meeting.
