WARANGAL: MLA Kadiyam Srihari on Saturday visited Velair Mandal Congress president Muravath Laxman Naik, who is undergoing treatment at the MGM Hospital after being attacked by unidentified persons near Keshavanagar in Dharmasagar mandal.

The MLA visited the hospital and enquired with the doctors about Laxman Naik’s health condition. He instructed the hospital superintendent to ensure that the injured leader received better medical treatment.

Later, Srihari spoke to Laxman Naik’s family members and consoled them. He assured them of all possible support from the party and on a personal basis.

Speaking on the occasion, Kadiyam Srihari said that resorting to physical attacks in a democracy was a deplorable act. He said he had directed the police to take stringent action against those responsible for the attack and arrest them immediately.

He urged the police to conduct a comprehensive investigation into the incident and ensure that the culprits were punished as per law.
