Man held for kidnap and rape of girlfriend in TN
The police arrested a man for kidnapping and sexually assaulting his girlfriend as her marriage got fixed with another person.
According to sources, Madan Kumar, a native of Pernambut and works as a bike mechanic. He made friendship with a young woman who also resides in the same area, which later developed into a love affair.
On knowing their love story, the girl's parents decided to get her married to another man. With this, Madan asked the woman to come with him, but she refused his proposal. On keeping this in mind, he kidnapped his girlfriend and took her to Tirupati on November 29th. There he repeatedly raped her in the lodge room.
As the woman went missing, her parents approached Melpatti police station. Over receiving the information, the police initiated the investigation. Based on Madan's mobile phone data, the police took him into their custody at the Pernambut bus station and rescued the woman.
During the interrogation, the accused admitted the crime that he has kidnapped and raped the woman. On the incident, the police registered a case on him under various sections and investigating further.
