Going into the details, Varaprasad (24), a native of Nediyam village in Pallipattu area and works as a taxi driver. In this context, he came into contact with Karthika (22), who also resides in the same village and pursue degree first year. Over some days, the friendship between them has developed into a love affair and got married by convincing their elders two years ago.
Karthika was five months pregnant, and as her health condition was not well, Varaprasad took her to the government hospital on Saturday, where the doctors confirmed her already dead.
Later, the body was shifted to the Thiruttani government hospital for post-mortem. On receiving the complaint from the deceased family members, the Pallipattu police have registered a case, took Varaprasad into their custody and are investigating further.
