Woman commits suicide by consuming pesticides in Nirmal district
In an incident, a woman has committed suicide over unable to bear the harassment of her husband.
Khanapur: In an incident, a woman has committed suicide over unable to bear the harassment of her husband. According to the police, Lakshmi (40) belongs to Komu Thanda village under Birnandi panchayat here in the mandal, where her husband B Balram has developed an illegal affair with his brother's wife.
The couple uses to have frequent quarrels over this issue. Even, the village elders have also intervened and warned Balram repeatedly. But he didn't change his behaviour and continued to harass his wife.
On Friday, Balram had a heated argument with his wife and hit her badly while she was working in the fields. With this, Lakshmi becomes upset and consumed pesticides and died on the spot. The deceased has one son Venkatesh and two daughters Chandrakala and Swapna. Over the incident, the police registered a case and investigating further.
