A Walk for World Peace in the amicable ambience of Himalyas with 200 Monks
With an aim to spread the message of peace, humanity, love and harmony across the globe, 200 monks will be taking a long walk “Pad Yatra” towards the uniqueness of Ladakh and the whole Himalayan region.
New Delhi : With an aim to spread the message of peace, humanity, love and harmony across the globe, 200 monks will be taking a long walk "Pad Yatra" towards the uniqueness of Ladakh and the whole Himalayan region.
The aim of this initiative like "Pad Yatra" is to divert global attention towards the revival of glory and resources in the Himalayan region and foster support from international communities in developing Ladakh and its people to be able to serve the world the magical bliss of vast wisdom and spiritual.
Ladakh being a prominent highlight and a renowned destination in the Indian tourist map. The place full of immense liveliness and diversity of cultures, nature and lifestyles. The remarkable beauty of Ladakh and the whole of Himalayan region must be preserved to ensure that the region continues to be a source of eternal enlightenment in people's lives.
The Fourth Consecutive Pad Yatra of more than 200 monks and nuns from Thailand will initiate from Bodh Gaya via Dharamsala will enter the Ladakh region where it will conclude at the Mahabodhi International Meditation Centre. The delegates from Thailand, monks and nuns will walk barefoot all the way from Dharamsala to Ladakh.
Holiness Dalai Lama will be sermonizing and interacting with his 200 pilgrims at Dharamsala on 24th May and will conclude with dinner. A special delegation of monks and nuns from Thailand will embark on a journey of divine connection with the nature and reach the Mahabodhi International Meditation Centre in Ladakh.
The Venerable Bhikkhu Sanghasena founded Mahabodhi International Meditation Centre with an aim to revive the heritage of the Himalayas and be a source of truer enlightenment for people from all corners of the globe.
This messmerising Pad Yatra from Dharmasala will begin from 25th may 2019 and will conclude on 26th June 2019.
