New Delhi: AAP leaders, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia trashed the video posted by Union Home Minister Amit Shah on the state of Delhi schools. At a media conference, Kejriwal said that out of 1024 schools run by the Delhi government, the BJP team could find fault with only eight.

Deputy chief Minister Manish Sisodia played videos to media men to substantiate his point on the schools which were depicted in Amit Shah's video. In one case a BJP MP posted a video of a school that was shut, Sisodia said.

The AAP leaders asserted that the BJP teams focused on the odd room which did not have furniture or required infrastructure. The BJP members of Parliament ignored the brighter side of the schools in the same building such as well-equipped classrooms, they said.

The Deputy chief Minister of Delhi and Kejriwal accused the Union Home Minister of spreading falsehoods. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal repeated his earlier statement that Amit Shah should not belittle the achievements of 16,00,000 students and 65,000 teachers.

The AAP chief requested the Union Home Minister to visit Delhi schools along with him and see for himself the state of the education system. He also said that he would be willing to listen to any advice from Amit Shah if there are any deficiencies. Kejriwal refused to be drawn into any discussion on the Shaheen Bagh protest. The AAP supremo said that he would stick to focussing on schools and education.
