Spicejet employee dies after getting stuck in landing gear door

A SpiceJet technician got stuck in the main landing gear door of an aircraft he was working on and was killed.

MUMBAI: 22-year-old Rohit Pandey was working on the landing gear of a Bombardier Q400 when the doors trapped him in.

This comes a week after runway excursions and incidents involving SpiceJet aircraft, putting the airline under DGCA's scanner.

After surprise surveillance last year, DGCA issued four show-cause notices to SpiceJet on poor training standards. SpiceJet is yet to release an official Statement.
