Union Budget 2020-21: Find comments from the Political arena

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has presented the Budget 2020-21 intending to boost Indian economy into the '$5 trillion economy' orbit by 2024. However, the reactions by corporate & political leaders were quite varied. Find who said what:

Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has criticised the Budget. He said that there is nothing concrete in it to provide jobs to the youth. Talking to media outside Parliament, he said the budget has a lot of technicalities and repetitions. He in his tweet said, "Our youth want jobs. Instead, they got the longest budget speech in parliamentary history that said absolutely nothing of consequence. PM & FM both looked like they have no clue what to do next."

Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav termed the budget as one of the worst in the last decade. He said it has nothing concrete for farmers and unemployed. He also criticised the tax reduction announced today. He questioned how it will benefit people when incomes are decreasing.

NCP leader Sarad Pawar in a tweet said, "Budget focuses on Agriculture Warehousing but lacks vision and clarity on Doubling Farmers' income. It is still a distant dream." He also wrote, "Automobile sector has been completely ignored and unemployment issue is not addressed fairly. It was the lengthiest speech but lacked farsightedness and direction."

NCP leader Supriya Sule said that there is nothing new and substantial in the Budget. She also questioned the government for giving credit to Beti Bachao Beti Padhao scheme for women empowerment. She said the budget has nothing new for the welfare of women. She in a tweet wrote, "Selling of LIC is nothing but selling the last of the jewels left with the government. With no avenues left to raise funds, and the economy collapsing, selling LIC seems to be the only option available to this government to show the people that some income has been earned!."

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has said the new tax reforms introduced in the Budget this year are extremely progressive, bold and unprecedented. In a tweet, Mr Singh said this new tax regime will reduce the tax burden on the common man. He added that it will pave the way for an efficient tax system, in sync with the best practices in the world.

Nitin Gadkari through a tweet said, "The emphasis from infrastructure to industry, farmer to job creation, I am confident that the budget will catapult our growth to achieve the target of 5 trillion dollar economy."

Meanwhile, Shiv Sena leader Vinayak Raut also called the budget as hopeless budget. He alleged that there is no road map for the 5 trillion dollar economy.
