Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) Rajamahendravaram Asset organised a Swachh Walkathon on Thursday, as part of Swachh Hi Seva fortnightly celebrations.

Employees, members of Mahila Samithi and special protection force personnel of ONGC took part in the programme, conducted from Prakash Nagar to ONGC base complex.
Addressing the gathering, ONGC Rajamahendravaram Asset executive director DMR Sekhar has said that on the directions of central government ONGC is conducting Swachh Hi Seva programme.
The programme was aimed to bring awareness among people about cleanliness and toilets were constructed wherever needed. With the help of cultural organizations, ONGC is conducting street plays depicting Dasara Veshalu to create awareness among the people.
Sofar ONGC has constructed 1,400 toilets with an amount of Rs 3.02 crore in its operational area and Rs 80 lakh worth of proposals are being sent to government for additional toilets and in addition to this as many as 1,200 toilets will also be constructed in association with state government. Earlier, executive director DMR Sekhar flagged of Swachh Walkathon.
