Drusya Vedika, an absolute platform for performing arts, conducted a programme combined with children and youth, at Veledandla Hanumataraya Grandhalayam Hall on Sunday evening. The aim of the organisation is to conduct unique programmes for art lovers. Two different art forms were presented on the dais.

The programme was commenced with a children playlet ‘Devunni mingina manishi’ by Young Theater Organisation, Vijayawada. Writer A Bhaskara Chandra, stressed on the need of nature for society. He also pointed out that god created air, water, fire, sky and nature for the benefit of society. But the selfish people have been destroying all these for their worldly pleasures. This was ably directed by V Bhagya Sasidhar. Excellent technical supported was rendered by M Girish Kittu, R Vasu, Paramesh and Sitaram. Susmitha, Jwalita, Akshara, Rakshita, Harsha, Bhavana, Rijuta, Sameeksha, Purvika, Tanusri, Nagavalli, Priyanka, Ishwarya, Cherry, Doondi, Jayachandra, Maheshbabu, Balaji, Dundi and Eswar acted in this playlet. The performance of the kids was appreciated by the connoisseurs gathered in the auditorium.
The second part of the programme, ‘Folk dances’ was presented by the disciples of dance master Hemanth Kumar. Kolatam, Koti koti dandalu konda devara, Vastava Janaki, Talli Yasoda, Naloni Sivudu and other dances were showcased by Prasad, Malika, Priyanka, Vikhita, Karthkeya, Lakshmi Pranati, Manasa, Kusuma, Teja, Lahari, Lasya, Gayatri, Bhavisya, Uma Sambhavi, Lalita lasya and Divya. The choreographer Padmasree has chosen the rare folk compositions for these performances.
This programme was conducted by Lakhya Bharani Hemanth and Majety Surendranath, GRK Murthy, N Siva Prasad, Joint Commissioner, Panchyt Raj presented mementoes to the artistes.
