Use RTI Act to check corruption

Vijayawada: Gareeb Guide organiser and Supreme Court advocate Dr D V Rao has said that the Right to Information Act is a weapon to check corruption in the society.
A rally was organised under the banner of Gareeb Guide here on Sunday.
The rally had started from the Indira Gandhi Municipal Corporation Stadium and reached Undavalli Panchayat Office via the Sub-collector office, Police Control Room and Prakasam Barrage.
Addressing the gathering at the IGMC Stadium, DV Rao sought co-operation of the people to check corruption and requested the officials to furnish necessary when asked for information by the public under the RTI Act. The students and RTI activists raised slogans on the need to check corruption in the society.
All India OBC Railway Employees Federation President S Ramachandra Rao stressed on the need to use RTI Act to solve issues.
