Bhimavaram: The police officials started the survey in Bhimavaram town to identify the accident-prone areas on National Highway No.165.

The Town CI, Desimsetty Venkateswara Rao, Traffic SI K Narenddra and other police personnel inspected the roads connecting to the National highway in the town.
The recent days reported several accidents on the national highway in the town limits. Following these accidents, the district SP, M Ravi Prakash, DSP T Prabhakar Babu directed the Bhimavaram police to conduct a survey and identify the accident-prone areas.

The CI and traffic SI along with personnel surveyed the main road and the connecting roads. Preliminarily, it was decided to construct speed breakers at the internal road point from the National highway. The police officials decided to arrange signboards at the accident-prone areas to alert vehicle drivers.

Speaking on the occasion, CI Desimsetty Venkateswara Rao said that the survey was conducted on the National highway and identified some dangerous spots where the town’s internal roads linked up with the highway. “A report would be submitted to the higher officials in this regard,” he added.
