Lok Adalat clears 1,984 cases
District Principal and Sessions Judge N Tukaramji has said that as many as 1,984 cases were settled in Lok Adalat held across the district on Saturday. Of the total cases, criminal cases 588, civil cases 118, accident cases 89, excise cases 918 and pre-litigation cases 271 were resolved.

Meanwhile, cases relating to electricity, telephone and bank were also resolved in Lok Adalat. As per the directions of National Lok Adalat, the cases were settled in the programmes in the district. He appealed to the litigant public to avail this opportunity to resolve their problems through Lok Adalat which saves time and money.
Lok Adalat was a boon to the people and its judgement was having sanctity on par with regular courts. Lok Adalat would be held on second Saturday once in two months. District Legal Services Authority secretary PBS Srinivasa Rao and others were present.
