bjpHyderabad: Police on Tuesday evening disrupted the indefinite fast undertaken up by the BJP state unit against the hike in power tariff and what it called the failure of the government to address the power crisis in the state. The party legislators-G Kishen Reddy, Endala Lakshminarayana and Yennam Srinivas Reddy who were on fast were evicted from the old MLA quarters, the venue of the protest. The leaders were forcibly shifted to NIMS in Panjagutta. However, they refused to undergo treatment and continued the stir that entered fourth day on Tuesday. Earlier a team of doctors conducted medical tests on the three fasting leaders at Old MLA Quarters. There was a drop in BP and sugar levels, and the legislators appeared very weak. Central Zone DCP V B Kamalasan Reddy sought Kishen Reddy and the remaining two MLAs permission to shift them to hospital. However, they did not relent. Police, however, exercised their options and shifted the fasting leaders in two ambulances.
