P K Mohanty will be new CS

Hyderabad: Senior IAS officer Prasanna Kumar Mohanty will succeed Minnie Mathew as the Chief Secretary of the state on Tuesday. Despite hectic lobbying by some of his senior colleagues in the bureaucracy, the Chief Minister has finally preferred Mohanty for the top post.

Minnie Mathew, the outgoing incumbent who got three-month extension after her super annuation, will demit office on Tuesday when the government is expected to issue the GO formalising the appointment of the new Chief Secretary.
