Srikakulam: The President of the Federation of Andhra Pradesh Industries Federation (FAPI), B V Rama Rao, welcomed the initiative of the Hans India and HMTV to organise a Summit of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in the State and Excellence Awards for Best Performance in 11 categories in Hyderabad on July 15. The Hans India has envisaged the programme to inject a new sense of pride and belongingness by honouring the best among SMEs in AP with Excellence Awards on its second anniversary. The summit would discuss the problems and prospects of the sector often described as the country's growth engine, accounting for a major chunk of industrial output, exports and employment generation. Speaking to the Hans India, Rama Rao said the summit and the awards would go a long way in encouraging the small and medium entrepreneurs to succeed in their chosen field. He expressed the confidence that the experts from across the country would discuss the problems and prospects of the enterprise and find solutions to their problems. The 13 awards to be given in 11 categories would encourage the young and budding entrepreneurs to excel in their chosen fileds, he added.
