Noted industrialist Tammadapalle Victor met the TDP leaders at the party office here on Tuesday and appealed to them to allot party ticket to him to contest from the Nandikotkuru Assembly segment in the forthcoming elections.
TDP Politburo member K.E. Krishnamurthy, district TDP president Somisetty Venkateswarlu and Pattikonda MLA K E Prabhakar responded positively to the request. However, K E Krishnamurthy said that the final decision would be taken by party president, N Chandrababu Naidu.
Victor was accompanied by a sizable number of activists from the six mandals in the Assembly segment.A Some party workers said that Victor, hailing from Dalit community has been striving hard to bring up the Dalits by undertaking a number of service activities. "The TDP would win hands down if Victor is the party candidate from Nandikotkuru," they added. Party activists Tammadapalle Sekhar, Ravi, Aesop, Vanajamma, Ismail and others were present.
