Collector stresses on strengthening of panchayats

Hyderabad: Ranga Reddy district Collector M V Reddy urged peoples' representatives and government officials to play an important role in strengthening village panchayats in the district. Addressing Rajiv Gandhi Panchayat Sashaktikaran Abhiyan (RGPSA) at Spurthi Bhawan, on Friday, MV Reddy said the burden of district administration over villages will come down and thus focus must be on strengthening of panchayat administration. He laid emphasis on conducting ‘Grama Sabha’ in every village on developmental programmes and asked people to solve the problems by discussing in the village meeting.
