P Ashok Babu, president of APNGOs appealed to the people here on Tuesday to vote for the party APNGOs suggested in the next elections, otherwise they could choose good person of their choice in 2014 elections. Ruling out the handing over of Samaikyandhra agitation to any political party, he said that NGOs could stop the bifurcation up to 2014 but it was people who should stop the bifurcation in 2014 elections with their powerful weapon called ‘vote’. Addressing ‘Samaikya Garjana’ meeting attended by thousands braving the downpour at JNTUK grounds here, Ashok Babu expressed hope that the mindset of the politicians would change. He demanded resignation of people’s representatives of Seemandhra as per the aspirations of people. Warning the political parties not to test the patience of Samaikyandhra activists, he said that they have clear-cut plan to intensify the stir in coming days.
Refuting the comments that NGOs were sold out, he said that NGOs have been sold out to the love and compassion of people. Stating that he has no intention to join politics, he made it clear that NGOs were here to cleanse the politics.
He said that the ‘million march’ would be conducted in Hyderabad if Telangana bill was tabled. It is the people’s agitation and there is no need for leadership for Samaikyandhra stir, he added. Urging the MPs to submit their resignations in the coming winter session, he appealed to the politicians to cooperate with the agitators by putting pressure on all political parties.
