Vizianagaram: The disappearance of a pregnant woman from the government hospital here has caused a sensation.
Both the police and the family members are on the look out for Satyavati of Reddipally in Padmanabham mandal of Visakhapatnam district, who was hospitalized on Friday. Two women were keeping her company the hospital.
Satyavati allegedly disappeared in the evening, after leaving the ward saying she was going for a walk in the hospital compound. Her relatives looked for her in the premises.
Failing to find her after telephonically contacting some close relatives, they lodged a complaint with the Two Town Police, who registered a case. They are expressing concern about her safety.
The police formed search teams and looked for Satyavati in the town and its adjoining areas. They suspect that she might have left the hospital following a family discord.
