The Andhra Pradesh state government has been playing dual role, as far as the recruitment process for the state government jobs is concerned. Such a dual stand has been affecting millions of unemployed youth in the state.

Quoting bifurcation matter as the reason, APPSC has stopped issuing notification since August 2013 to fill up as many vacancies as 60,000 through its governing body. Whereas the state government had already issued notifications for filling up 1,650 village revenue officer posts (VROs); 4,300 Village Revenue Assistants (VRAs), and 2,600 Panchayat Secretary Posts.

The question that arises in every unemployed youth is the raison d'être behind stopping APPSC exams but allowing other departments to conduct recruitment exams. There is no answer from the government officials.

Most of the Group-I and Group-II aspirants have now turned to be the applicants for the posts of VRO/VRA/Panchayat Secretaries. The desired qualification for VROs is just intermediate, while for VRAs it is S.S.C. But, youngsters with the qualifications of M. Tech, B. Tech, MA, M.Com, M. Sc, BA, B.Com and B. Sc degrees have applied for these posts, exposing the serious unemployment problem in the state of Andhra
